Did you know that India churns out perhaps the largest number of graduates in the world every year, yet one of the biggest problems of corporate India is a significant lack of high-quality talent. Ironic, isn't it? This mismatch tells you a lot about the quality and relevance of education being imparted in the country, the validity of exams and perhaps even the attitude of graduating students.
Against this backdrop, AlphaVeda was formed, with the objective of making a difference, even if only in some small way. Our goal quite simply is to deliver a very rich learning experience, using technology as an enabler.
What is AlphaVeda?
Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals, it has a value of 1. In the investing world, alpha represents superior returns, which are over and above what can normally be expected. That is why investors are always chasing the elusive alpha!
Veda is the Sanskrit word for knowledge.
- It is the goal of AlphaVeda to deliver, in creative ways, knowledge via a framework that enables students to achieve their own alpha.
- Knowledge not just for the sake of knowledge, but also hoping to develop intellectual curiosity, logic, reasoning, problem-solving and inference capabilities and skills.
